I am a happily married new mom. A beautiful little girl blessed our family on August 31st, her name is Journey Elise. She is a blessing beyond words. I am at a loss and find I can not express how much this tiny being has brought to my life. I don't know the words to this new language that is full of such love & gratitude.
I am a native of Colorado Springs but plan to venture out west one of these days - assuming the Universe will let us out of here. My family lives here which is reason enough to stay, for now. I am the oldest of 4 and the only girl. My brother Christopher recently became a father to the wonderful and energetic being known as Adam Kahlil who is about 4 months older then Journey. His mom Andi is a surprising but wonderful addition to our family. Christopher is an amazing painter of Arabic Caligraphy - some of which you'll be seeing soon. Ben seems to still be in search of himself - but he's finally looking. Joe is nearing the end of his college career in Ft. Collins. I miss him terribly. I never imagined I would find a best friend locked inside my youngest (9years) brother. Life is full of surprises. We were raised by many parents but most importantly are my father and step mother. They showed a great example of what it means to really love someone. To look at someone and find yourself. I am so glad they found eachother. My father is a man of many talents, I am very proud of all of them. He is currently in pursuit of a photographers dream and I support him completely. You will find his handy work here in my photos.
Most importantly though is my soul mate Jacob. He is the male version of me. It seems that he was always a part of my life, but until 4 years ago I didn't realize that. To know me - you must know him. He is literally my other half and my perfect match. If half the people in the world were as lucky as us - the world would be a MUCH happier place. For those out there that have given up on the fairy tale love story - Don't lose hope. It does exist. We are living proof of that.
Oh yeah, this is supposed to be about me… but what makes a person if not thier love, passion and dreams. You can find all of those in the people described here. It matters little that I am a screenwriter in my dreams. Or that I one day hope to have the courage to finish my first screenplay because that would mean I would have to finish (and start) the other 8 that have been planted in my imagination. I'll get there. one day.
Other then that are trivial things like my new found love of knitting, or my new found desire to mosaic a large table sitting in the back yard.
